BCPPL 2010 Season details
April 14 2010
We are pleased to share details of the British Columbia Paintball Championship Series for 2010. Our goal continues to be constant improvement and un-equalled value for every player.
In 2010 we will continue breaking new ground and pushing the limits of what our sport can become. We are proud of our achievements thus far, and will continue to strive to maintain what we have all achieved together……..
Some of things to look forward to in 2010.....
NEW FORMAT FOR OPEN DIVISION (7MAN + XDIV) AT E2 (TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPIONSHIP)
X7 Format:
The Triple Crown will be an event unlike any we have seen before.
3 leagues combined to host the biggest event of the summer season.
The BCPPL offers 7Man, for 2010 MR will offer BOTH 7Man and MRX formats.
This new format will be used at the Triple Crown event in JUNE.
Teams play on a 7Man layout with 7 Players on the field. Just like 7Man.
Match time is 15min. Switch over time of 2 minutes between each point. Just like the MRX.
Team will play a RACE to 3.
Teams will earn 3 points for a win via a MAX (3 hangs)
2 Points for a TIME LIMIT win, and 1 point for a tie. (No OT in the prelims)
Use the same penalty system as the MRX. Any major penalty is a conceded point.
We have also established a strong relationship with two large gun manufacturers, and will be offering high end guns as prizes in each and every event.
As always, if you have any questions about any changes, please feel free to e-mail us at
info@bcppl.com and we will do our best to answer!

The BCPPL is once again proud to be sponsored by Sup air, the leader in tournament standard bunker kits, and cutting edge 3D field designs. Event 1 field layout will be released the week of April 19th.
All BCPPL events are always played on newer actual supair bunkers.
Rules
The 2010 BCPPL rulebook will be released soon. We can say that there will be some minor changes for 2010.
Rule changes will be broken out in a separate amendment.
Rosters, Classification and Entry fees
Pump Division
After much collaboration and consideration; we will again offer a pump division in 2010. Maximum teams allowed at each event will be 6. Registration is on a first come, first served basis as with all other BCPPL divisions. Spots can be secured when event registration opens. Entry fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Division 4/Apprentice 5man
Rosters must include un-accomplished new players only. No player that has placed in ANY event is allowed. This is a beginner division only. All Div 4 players from last year who placed 1st or 2nd in any event can only play Div 3 (minimum) for the rest of their career. The BCPPL may at anytime move a Div4 team to Div3 with little no or notice.
Division 3/Rookie 5man
This division will remain largely unchanged. Maximum allowable total team points (as per BCPPL classification) are 100 points. This means if you were on a 1st place team in 2009, you will probably have to move up to Div2.
If you have played in more than 5 BCPPL events in your career, you should move to Division 2.
Division 2/Novice 5man
Division 2 will be switching back to a 5man format for 2010. Maximum allowable team points for division 2 will be 350. If you have played tournaments for more than 2 years, and aren't quite ready for Division 1, this is where you belong.
Division 1/Amateur 7man
Any player may play 7man Division 1, including one PRO player per roster.
Any player may apply to the BCPPL for re-classification. If you wish to do so, please email us at
info@bcppl.com with the subject header "player classification". We will consider your request and respond to all applications quickly.

See you all at Event #1 "The BC Open" in May!
Please stay tuned to
www.bcppl.com and PBNation for more announcements and breaking news in the coming week.
Also, sorry for the delay in getting 2010 league information published. We have been working on other paintball projects. Some of which will benefit the players of BC in the future.
Thank you for your support; it’s time to get the 2010 season started!
