BCPPL Event #2 2008 details

Location
We are happy to announce that Event 2 will be played on a brand new professionally sodded natural grass field. This new, never played on before, all turf field is located at Panther Paintball in Surrey/Langley BC. The BCPPL has held events here before in the past, but never on a surface so nice. Panther has graciously reserved this field for us and we are proud to be able to hold a event there at this time. If you have not been to Panther Paintball lately,we will post pictures up in the next 10 days of what the field looks like...you will all be very impressed.
Panther is centrally located, and is close to restaurants,hotels, major freeways, and the US border. (For BCPPL host hotel info see below)
The remaining locations of 2008 BCPPL events will be announced before Event #2 begins.

Trade show
There will once again be a well stocked trade show at E2. Vendors will be offering the latest and greatest gear, and essentials, for any last minute, or replacment items for tournament participants.....ALL at aggressive trade show prices!
Dates and schedule of events
Friday May 16th
4:00pm - Team sign in/package and ID card pick-up opens
4:00pm - Fields open for walking by all teams.
8:00pm - Field walking ends. Trade show closes
Saturday May 17th
7:00am - Doors open (sign-in and paint sales)
7:20am - Division 4/3 captains meeting.
7:30am - Division 4/3 Games begin!
8:00am – Trade show opens,spectator admission opens
12:00pm - Division 1 and 2 captains meeting.
12:30pm - Division 1 and 2 games begin
Sunday May 18th
7:00am - Doors open
7:30am - Division 4/3 games begin
8:00am-Trade show opens

Team fees and registration
Registration for teams opens April 27th 2008 at 8:00 pm. Final deadline is May 13th at 8:00pm (pst).
All entry fees are due in full at the time of registration, or your entry will be considered null and void.
The maximum amount of teams we can accept for this event will be 36, Registration is on a first come first serve basis, if you miss the deadlines…...to bad……no exceptions. Remember fees are due in full at time of registration! If you have a certificate for Division 3 or 4 giving your team free entry, you must provide a minimum $200.00 deposit to secure your spot. Your $200 will be refunded when you pick up your package at the event. All player's must have a 2008 BCPPL/CPPL player ID card to play....go HERE to save $20.00 by registering online. The deadline for online player ID applications is May 12th at 8pm. Players that miss the online deadline, must stand in line and get there card before the tournament starts. Cost for waiting until the last minute is $40.

VIP Staging
Because of the limited space for staging, and the waits between games, we have pleased to offer all teams (of means) a private, luxury staging option. The cost will be $250.00 per team,for the weekend, and there will be 5 such spots available. This option includes:
-10x20 private, walled area for the whole weekend! (not shared)
- direct view of playing field
- two 4x6 tables
- 2 garbage cans
- Private chrono range
- Private air table
- Limited security
- free bottled water,sport drinks,soda and fresh assorted fruit,lunch on Sunday
- 2 free pit passes for staff ($20.00 value)

Hotel
The official host hotel for 2008 BCPPL events is the Sandman Hotel chain. The Sandman in Langley is offering the best rates around for player's attending E1. This hotel is located off Hwy #1 at the 200th street exit. As with the tournament location, there is tons of restaurants, and other services within walking distance. The hotel itself is 10-15 minutes from the Stetson Bowl.
This hotel group has been a proud supporter of BC paintball the past few years. We strongly encourage all teams to support them.
