BCPPL 2008 Season details
We are pleased to share details of the British Columbia Paintball Championship Series for 2008.
As we enter our fourth year as a league, many improvements and changes are in store.
Most of the new facets we will implement this year, comes from direct feedback by the players. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to contribute there input and constructive ideas to make the league better.
Some changes come as a direct result of sponsor feedback and industry trends.

Our brand new website is now live at, www.bcppl.com! The site is designed to continually evolve and will be added to on a continuous basis. Look for lots of updates leading up to Event #1. Everything player’s and team’s need to play can be found through this new site. Also look for a new bcppl.tv site coming soon!
2 new Sup'air fields
The League has purchased/ordered 2 brand new regulation 2008 NPPL fields. Sup'air and MR Paintball has generously helped supply these new bunkers to the league through sponsorship Field layouts will only be sent to paid and registered teams two weekends before the event. The League may run 3-4 practices/clinics at various fields throughout BC this year.
Locations
While every venue for 2008 has yet to be finalized, we can tell you the Stetson Bowl will be the location for 2-3 events this year. Brawl for it All will be held at the Agriplex in Surrey again.
Rosters and Entry fees
After much collaboration and consideration, we will again offer a beginner division (Div 4) for newer player’s.
Division 3 and 4 teams may play each other in preliminary rounds at this years events.
Division 4/Apprentice 5man
Rosters must include un-accomplished player’s only. No player that has placed in ANY event is allowed. This is a beginner division.
Division 3/Rookie 5man
This division will remain largely unchanged. Maximum allowable total team points (as per BCPPL classification) is lowered to 100 points from 125.
Division 2/Novice 7man
This division will continue to be for intermediate player’s only. We expect 10+ teams consistently at every event. Some of the top div2 teams from last year are bumping to division 1 for 2008.
Maximum allowable player points has been lowered to 400 from 625.
Division 1/Amateur 7man
Any player may play 7man Division 1, including one PRO player per roster. Any team or player placing in 1st or 2nd at any division 1 event will accumulate more player points than in 2007.
*NOTE: A player who has never played in Division 1 or 2 before, or any or any organized X-Ball league, may guest on one team in Division 1 or 2. That player may do so only once in there career. Individual placings will be placed against his or her record if he/she is on the roster, whether they actually play or not.

Prizes
Exact prize packages will be released well before each event.
D4- minimal prizes/no cash
D3- paintball products, entry packages, gift certificates, paint packages
D2- Combination of cash, entries, and products
D1- Cash only
We will also be recognizing 4th place teams on the podium in 2008. This will include medals and/or trophies.
Paint
Paint prices will begin at $80.00 this year. A further $10.00 will be rebated, retroactively for every 9 cases purchased (by team)…so buy 9 and get one free! This effectively makes base paint $70.00 per case, $20.00 less than last year!
